BIO

Steve is a postdoctoral scholar in the Climate & Ecosystems Division. He uses a variety of field and laboratory techniques and models to understand and predict how ecosystems are shaped by global changes. He works at the root-soil-atmosphere interface to investigate how land use and climate change alter above and below-ground carbon and nutrient cycling in several interesting and beautiful ecosystems, from mangroves and tropical forests in Central Africa to Alpine grasslands and temperate forests in Central Europe and North America.
