Jared Langevin is a Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he leads modeling of U.S. buildings sector energy demand and its implications for consumer costs, the power grid, and the environment. He co-authored the U.S. National Blueprint for Buildings Decarbonization while serving as a strategic advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Deputy Assistant Secretary for Buildings and Industry. Jared was also previously a Science and Technology Policy Fellow at DOE, where he co-created the Scout program for national buildings sector impact analysis. Jared holds a Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. He is strongly committed to improving the quality and sustainability of the built environment.
