Silvia Crivelli is a staff scientist in the Applied Computing for Scientific Discovery group within the Computing Sciences Area at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She serves as the Local Site Investigator for MVP-CHAMPION, a joint research initiative between the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) that leverages the VA’s Million Veteran Program (MVP) to advance precision medicine for veterans and the broader population. Her research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to healthcare and medicine, with an emphasis on developing models that integrate complex biomedical and clinical data. Silvia joined Berkeley Lab as a postdoctoral fellow 28 years ago after completing her Ph.D. at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and has since built a career dedicated to advancing computational methods for scientific and societal impact.
