Lucas Brouwer is a staff scientist in the Accelerator Technology and Applied Physics Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His current research focuses on the design and test of Nb3Sn dipole magnets for high energy physics, large momentum acceptance superconducting magnets for proton therapy and fixed-field accelerators, and ultra-stable superconducting magnets for electron microscopy. He received a BS in Physics and a BA in Mathematics from Whitworth University and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
