GianLuca Sabbi received his Doctoral Degree in 1995, with a thesis on beam instabilities at CERN’s Large Electron Positron collider. From 1996 to 2000, he contributed to designing and prototyping the LHC IR quadrupoles at Fermilab. He then joined the superconducting magnet program at Berkeley Lab, developing high-field dipoles for future colliders and upgraded IR quadrupoles for the High-Luminance LHC.
